The 19th annual WNC Flyer presented by Hunter Subaru returns to Oskar Blues Brewery in beautiful Western North Carolina, with a rolling start between 8:00 – 8:10am.

Wave 1 departs at 8:00am – Century (100mi), Metric (64mi)

Wave 2 departs at 8:10am – Half Century (50mi), Half Metric (32mi)

NEW for 2023: Ride Ambassadors will be leading each ride and wave!

What better way to spend the day than with a bike ride, bluegrass, BBQ and a brew!

Riders will have their choice of a century, metric, half century, or half metric ride that winds through the valleys south of Asheville, NC. Although it is the least hilly ride in Western North Carolina, it has plenty of rolling hills to keep all riders interested. There is beautiful mountain scenery without the long mountain climbs. The Flyer is a ride for everyone from first time riders to experienced riders.

This is a fully supported ride with well-stocked rest stops and an after ride party. The post ride party will be catered by Mayberry’s and we have lots of yummy BBQ (or Veggie/Vegan lunch options) and one free beer after the ride.

The WNC Flyer presented by Hunter Subaru ride course cutoff time is at 4pm EST. Riders are able to complete their ride on their own unsupported after 4pm, however, all post ride activities and volunteer/police support will end at 4pm.

Packet Pick-Up Information

If you would like to skip the packet pickup sessions and have your ride number and socks shipped to you in advance, please select the pre-event shipping option during online registration or through the Race Store. Packets will be shipped approximately two weeks prior to the ride. Deadline to select this option online is Wednesday, May 17th at midnight.
