EVENT GUIDE
Welcome to the 2022 WNC Flyer presented by Hunter Subaru. We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, June 5th, 2022 at Oskar Blues in Brevard, North Carolina for the 18th Annual ride to benefit the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club.
1. We will have a coffee cart serving up your favorite cup of coffee on ride morning. Bring some cash and enjoy!
2. Did you miss out on the commemorative, 2022 WNC Flyer, Hincapie Jersey and Shorts? Don’t fret, you can still place your order now thru Friday, June 10th at midnight. These items will be mailed you a few weeks after the ride. They will not be available on ride day. Get yours HERE!
3. Bring cash for Raffle Tickets and prizes! Drawings will take place on ride day at 1:30 and 3pm. You don’t need to be present to win.
4. It is important that you follow the rules of the road throughout the entirety of the ride. There are multiple stop signs and traffic lights and several areas that need a careful look and pause before you go. Stay to the right and don’t take up the entire lane. Roads are open during the ride to vehicular traffic. Remember this is not a race. Enjoy the ride, and please pay attention to the road signs.
5. Please take some time to read through the WNC FLYER EVENT GUIDE linked below. We have all your need-to-know information about the routes, rest stops, safety, packet pickup and more. Please KNOW the color of your route, this is very important. The colored direction arrows are Blue-30 mile, Yellow-50-mile, Orange-62 mile, and Green-100 mile. Route info is HERE!
All turns are marked with your colored route arrow on the ground. DO NOT just FOLLOW the people in front of you and assume they are doing the same ride. There are multiple turns and course splits for the routes during the ride. It is up to you to know the route and pay attention to where your route goes.
